There's a Keilworth ST 90 on ebay right now. There's no reserve, and
the seller is within 30 minutes of me, sooooo.... Does the ST 90 have
a high F# key???? The description on music123.com says NO, but
the seller says yes. He has one of those moving image picture thingies,
but from what I can see there doesn't appear to be a high F# hole,
unless Keilworth's holes are configured differently. Keilworth's website
says the ST 90 II DOES have a high F# key, however. Thanks! The
horn is listed as new, and looks nice.

Alrighty<GRIN>. I squinted as quickly as possible, and it does appear
that the ebay sax has the MOP high F# key. If it's a Taiwan made
sax.....??????

I think most of the STs are Taiwanese. I say most because I think some sizes may be made in Eastern Europe. They are competent student saxes but have nothing in common with the German made EX and SX series.

Thanks. You've confirmed my suspicion, and I think I had confused
the ST 90 with the SX 90 when I placed bid. Fortunately, somebody
outbid me last night, so....<G>.

Frank B2,
Don't forget to retract your bid. If a bidder above you retracts you could still find yourself as the high bidder. By ebay rules you're stuck.

This happened to me a couple years ago. I was out bid, apparently by a shill, who withdrew the high bid at the last minute. In the interim I had won another horn with "buy it now". Imagine my surprise at having to buy 2 horns!

The shill thing is very hard to prove so I just bought the second horn (sold it later at a profit).

good luck. BTW the ST's are Asian horns. Some are good some aren't. These you really need to play before you buy if your serious aboout playing.

Hmmm, I should retract the bid now that you mention it. This seller
has 160 positives, but in the last month or so, has incurred 9 negs!!!
It could have been him outbidding me. Yikes....switching to ebay.
