I bought my silver Guardala alto new in 1994, but I have no idea what model it is! Talk about ignorant  I'd like to learn more about my horn and what it might be worth. Does anyone have info on what models were being made at that time for this type of horn?

The serial number is 3XXX if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Thats around the same time I bought my Black Nickle DG Alto Sax. From what I understand there were only 3 types. The first type (which I can't remember the name of) was almost identical with the Artist DG sax, minus some improvments and materials, which caused the intonation to flex a bit. The Artist series was there main pro-line with Laquer, Nickle, and Black Nickle body types, along with improved silver keys, and blue steel springs. A little later that year they came out with the New York series, which is the exact same thing as the Artist series except they had New York City engravings on the horn. Hope this helps you at least a little. Now, I may be wrong with this info, and if thats the case, then I'm sorry, but this is what have been able to find.
