Claude Lakey Metal Alto Piece

Has anyone tried one of these for alto?? I currently play one of the HR Lakey's for brighter work but just can't seem to get the punch I would like for older Rock and Roll gigs. Any suggestions or thoughts on this piece?

I recently tried one and sent it back. Big disappointment.
No sound compared to my Hard rubber Lakey 7*3.

Yeah, I though it stunk as well. And it only comes in one tip opening that is way too small. It weighs about five pounds. but $235 is expensive for a doorstop.

just noticed this: the lakey metal looks almost exactly like those rare old meyer bros brass pieces. That must where they got the idea for such a weird looking design.
