Hello everyone,

I have been watching the Marketplace section of the SOTW site for awhile now and even bought a soprano here a little over a year ago. I am now interested in selling some mouthpieces that are taking up space on my shelves and I have a few questions from all of you who have had more experience doing this.

So...you post an ad for your pieces for sale, receive a pm or posting from people interested and then...? What type of payment do most of you prefer? When I bought my soprano from here I used a US Post Office money order. How many of you prefer Paypal?

Then for shipping do most people prefer USPS or UPS or Fed Ex or something else? Do you have the package insured? For shipping costs, do you get an estimate online somehow?

I know that some of these topics have been covered in this area before, but maybe we could get a more consolidated response here to help other folks like me who are new to the selling thing. I appreciate any help/ideas/advice at all. Thanks!

I have been buying quite a number of mouthpieces from the USA to Denmark and sold a few the other way around.

Payment: I prefer Paypal because it is by far the easiest and fastest. Within the EU I have also used bank transfer. This can take up to a week.

Shipment: I prefer to get the mouthpiece by USPS Priority International with no insurance, provided the mouthpiece is packed in a not too small envelope or in a small box, e.g. 6 by 4,5 by 4,5 inches. All my shipments have arrived. The USPS has a very good online calculator.
UPS and FedEx are very good and fast, but the cost is also much higher.

If the mouthpiece is very expensive, I think I would like it insured, just in case.
