I just got this reply from JJ Babbitt about the new Link RG mouthpiece. I asked how the RG compared to the standard Links:

"The "RG" is totally different in shape, the chamber is parabolic & on
the metal mpc. the bite is thick & runs the full length where the teeth go.
The facings run .108", .118", & .128" tip openings. The sound is brighter
than the regular "Links". The price is the same, $186.00 suggested list. It
is a versatile mouthpiece, depending on the reed/ligature set-up. The website is being updated presently to show all the new mpcs & hopefully done in the next 30 days.

Thank you for your inquiry,
jj Babbitt Co."

Great :x Yet another new mpc to try :!:
It does sound interesting though. Perhaps it's the counter the large number of players that add baffles to their Links.

Maybe JJ Babbitt noticed what Selmer seem to notice a few years ago. That the 30 year old products of theirs were selling as good as, if not better than, the new models.

They made them right once, no reason they can't do it again.

Some would say Babbitt never made Links right...

well, whether they made links right or not, the older ones were definately superior to the new ones! I wonder what the HR model would sound like...
