I am looking for that song Christmas time his here , or the Charlie Brown Christmas theme. Anyone know where I can find this for the Tenor for a good price , or bari, auto or what ever. I can pretty much change it to tenor myself.
Hal Leonard Jazz Play Along Volume 38, "Yuletide Jazz." My wife seems to prefer this over my usual long tones and scales... at least this time of year.
Be advised that the backing track for this tune is in the "smooth jazz" style...
No, pretty different from that youtube clip. It's a straight four beat with a classic smooth jazz bass line... it's not bad, but to me the style is not a good match for the tune. But I'm not really a smooth jazz guy.
I've got both those books. I don't remember 'Christmas Time Is Here' being in the Christmas Jazz book but it's definitely in the Charlie Brown Christmas book. As for the backing tracks, yeah they're kind of straight but what the heck, it's Crispness Eh?
Are these play-alongs? I'm looking for a backing track to the simple piano version. Maybe I should just buy the $3 piano music and get a friend to play it for me???
See Sheet Music Plus - "Christmas Favorites" by Hal Leonard w/CD, $12.95 for 15 songs. I have it. Pretty easy really, but fun nonetheless. Easy to embellish or jazz-it-up a bit.
School/ work got so crazy last year I nver got around to finding this stuff. Now that I am jobless I can find it now lol.
