A few months back I Fred Lamberson made a white delrin soprano
F maj 7th mouthpiece. I thought oh cool...then tried it and freaked out on how interesting the delrin made the sound!!
SO,, As time moved on...I had Fred make me one for my altos.
One a tad bighter for a Selmer alto & one a bit darker for a Borgani 130.
The material DID add a dimension to the sound.
Then- we tried a white 8DD bari mouthpiece. BOOM!$%@
Fred even told me it was killin' lol-
I don't know exactly what the delrin is doing but it's adding something
very unique.
I played a few back to back for Roberto, and he noticed a difference in the sound.Very unique. Nothing drastic, mind you...but very hip.
If your playing bari..you might want to check out the option of the
delrin.
Just thought I'd mention it for those who might be into it.
Thanks 8)
