I haven't found any information on this tuner here. It seems like the perfect tuner for a fledgling soprano student (ME!). Anyone have one? Comments? Comments on other tuners? I've read a little about the Petersons, but they are expensive and might be more than I need.

The CA30 can be purchased very reasonably, new on ebay. I like mine so much I bought one for each case.

I recently got a neat little thing called an 'Intelli Metro tuner IMT 202' that has a metronome built in too, and it costs about £18 (say US $25) here in the UK. It does the job fine, if perhaps a little too sensitive.

The absolute bees knees is the Lockon Tuner that I bought for guitar years ago - it's chromatic and has a very intuitive and simple system and it seems to lock on to the core tone without flickering this way and that with every nuance of the sound.

http://www.guitartuners.com/ they have changed the styling since mine, but the principle is the same, and despite being aimed at guitarists, they are fully chromatic and work a treat with all the saxophones. I see they are a lot cheaper these days, $39,95 - I'd recommend them, I have had mine for 8 or 9 years with no hassles.

I use the Korg tuner you mentionned. It works very well. It is sturdy, I dropped it from a music stand several time without any problems. Also, it uses regular batteries which last longer and are cheaper.
I hope this helps.
