What about the 670 model?
Is good?
Opinions?

recent King saxes are all right for students, but not as good as some Taiwanese or Chinese models. All King saxophone production is over as of the end of the year. I don't know if Conn-Selmer will ever use the King name on a sax again.

Bump...

I saw a King 670 Liberty sale going on eBay. It caught my eye as it's advertised as a new horn that's a discontinued model and on clearance.

See the specs on THIS PAGE (http://www.kingwinds.com/catalog/detail.php?item=670). Based on the statement of the auction, I'm guessing that frobig's warning about King production ending at the end of '03 was right on. (yes, I bumped a thread that's nearly three years old, and it doesn't look like the modern instruments have had much discussion in the meantime)

In that case, it may be a moot point, but I'm curious if anyone is up on the latest Conn / King news or product offerings since the Selmer buyout of UMI.
