I'm wondering what peoples views are on these, ie: the head joints on many of the Sankyo Silver Sonics. I have played one and found it easy but a bit limiting. Is this something that you work through and when you get to the other side you reach flute tone nirvana? Also, what do people think of these flutes. I am thinking of buying one as my muramatsu doesn't have a split E.
I know its from another thread, but a really great flute book is Vernon Hill's " Flute Player's Book." Very standard stuff, but very well explained and is applicable to any level of player.

Yours is a typical reaction to the wave embouchure plates.

If they were a players' nirvana they would be very common. They are not.

Consider getting a "donut" on the lower G tone hole before switching flutes.

The wave heads will limit your ability to switch to pic and Alto flutes that don't have them. I would avoid. If you want an E donut, PM or e-mail me and I will give you one that may fit your current brand.
