View Full Version : oboe,sax and clarinet advice !!!

hiya guys...

as part of my GCSE course we have to do an ensemble, in our group there are ONLY 3 wind instrumets and i wondered if any one knew what an oboe, clarinet and sax would sound like together, does it work ???

we are all roughly grade 4-6 so is there any music which fills these options, if anyone has some advice ect please leave a message below thanyou

There are some blokes here in Brighton who busk around The Lanes using that combination, and I think they sound pretty good. They play mainly swing, Klezmer, and French-cafe-type numbers. very pleasant.

I don't know. I haven't seen these fellows around for a bit , but if they turn up again soon I'll ask them and let you know. Actually Boosey&Hawkes should have something you can use. All the best.
