Hi, I've found a Jade series Grassi alto that needs a repad. The old ones look to be original, and they are GREEN! I see that green is the color theme on the octave key enamal around the "G" insignia, (very Selmerish?) and the key bumpers and felts are green, but even the pads? Or, perhaps a previous owner dyed them as a practical joke?
Have any of you Grassi owners encountered green pads?
Thanks,

I've pulled some keys off to measure pad sizes, and you can see that they are really green in color, not just corrosion or verdigris from the brass.

At least it looks like dye rather than deck paint. ;)

Some Grassi saxophones came from the factory with the green pads. I've even seen green pearls and rollers.

Im looking at buying one tomorrow, most the pads are those green ones, and the rollers and pearls are also green

The pearls and rollers are actually jade...not sure what's in those pads. I'd get it repadded regardless.
