View Full Version : What model of Buffet Crampon is this?
Not familiar with Buffet Crampon saxes, I thought I'd seek the wisdom of resident experts here. I'm not at all sure, but it looks like it might be a Dynaction or SDA....
What's the verdict?

I agree it looks like one, though I have never seen one with nickel plated keys, and having a high F# key. If I were you, I would ask for the serial number just to be sure.

My SDA 1972-3 has a high F# and I've seen them in 2 tone

OK, I stand corrected, I used to have a SDA tenor and apart from those points, it looks like mine did.

A few months ago I saw an early 50's dynaction with high f# on ebay. I contacted the seller and he assured me it came from the factory that way. It had the cut-out neck tenon like on S-1's.
I've seen several two-tone buffets on ebay. They are usually being sold from England.
