How do I know what kind of Meyer I have?

I have an Alto Meyer 5M. How do I know if it's a New York Meyer or some other kind of Meyer?

At the bottom of the shank if it says new york, then its a meyers brothers newyork model, which is very expensive. If it says new york usa, it is a little newer model and less expensive than the plain new york. If it says only usa with no new york it is a cheap current production one.
