Does anyone know a good metal mouthpiece for play comtemporary jazz styles on the alto that is versatile, bright and hits all the range . I heard that the Beechler Bellite/Bronze is great choice.

Alto? tenor? Alto, beechler Belite 7 is the bomb. (of course get one with good rails and flat table)

For alto I agree with the Beechler. Also the Jody Jazz DV, Ponzol, Brancher, and Lebayle may be of interest.

Beechler Bellite 7 is really good. Definitely takes some learning though. I went back to my DV last night and felt at home again though.

Well - which contemporary sound are you talking about? Kenny G, Jay Beckinstein, David Sanborn? The suggestions are nice, but not all the sounds are the same.

im looking for that kenny g sort of sound but not toooooo bright and works well within all the ranges not just the upper register.
Also whats your suggestion on a Meyer HR mouthpiece? im thinking of buying a smooth jazzy mouthpiece with a little punch to it. JodyJazz too maybe?

If you want a Meyer HR type, go for a Morgan Jazz. I've never tried a JJ HR but Hear they are great too.
