I just randomly found this on YouTube. He's throwing down on what appears to be a Dolnet bari with a high F#. Also notable is Phil Woods with the earliest appearance (that I've seen) of the ever-present beanie.

Nice find! I agree that is in fact a Dolnet bari. Mine doesn't have the high f# but it does have the same bracing under the neck, which you can see in the closeup during Shihab's solo. The bell key guards are unmistakably Dolnet, and the seam on the upper bell matches the one on my horn.

Yeah - I was thrown off for a minute by the extra key (F#) on the neck, but I put my bari together and compared it with the clip and agree it's definitely a Dolnet. Sahib was one of my earliest favorite players, so this little discovery was a real treat for me.

Yeah - definitely WAY underappreciated. That's why it's so nice to see him playing the same weird horn that I do:) .
