Cleaning a Nickel plated C-Melody

Hello all,

I just purchased a Nickel plated C-Melody that requires new pads, and a good cleaning,I have taken it totally apart, what can I use to clean inside and out of this horn? it also smells awful, I managed to get about 95% of the smell out of the case, but the horn smells pretty gross, any suggestions will help.
