In the Di Medici model is a split E standard or do you have to order it with a E.What would the model number be with a split E?

That depends. According to the Jupiter website at http://www.jupiterflutes.com/jbi_instruments.aspx?cId=16&lId=5&sId=1 they have the following variations:

1011RBS - Inline, no Split E
1011RBSO - Offset, no Split E (on the website, the "Inline" shouldn't be there)
1011RBES - Offset, with Split E

Even though the flute itself might be marked "1011" or "1011R", you need to look at the keys to figure out whether it is offset or has a split E or not. If you don't know what a split E looks like, try the following website:

Notice the Split E arm? If it's not there, then it doesn't have a split E.
