somewhere out there there`s a cat with a martin flute who id like to talk to about old french flutes

I used to have a Martin Frere. Soft-soldered tone holes, I think, and pathetic sound. Maybe even the pad cup arms were soft soldered to the hinge tubes.
Terrible thing! I think it was trashed.

i was thinking of and older version silver open holes with a stamped monogram on the head piece . there is another model - i think its called a 1740 model ,much younger, thats not the one im after !!!!!but thanks any way . maybe i ll catch another cat on this line etymananki

I remember the ones that had the elongated body where the tenon was about an inch and a half long with a hole for the Eb.
