What type of reed and where can I get them? I've read somewhere that a Bb clarinet reed would work with the sopranino mpc. Is this true? Help! I love the horn and have started to use it more and more.

Try Eb Legare clarinet reeds or Vandoren 'nino cane.

The Bb soprano clarinet reed has too long a vamp and thus puts the lig in a weird place. I use an Eb soprano clarinet (aka eefer) reed that is cut down. Cut from the thick side. 8-)

I used to use the Vandoren blue box sopranino reeds from WW&BW...

Same here.
I've actually had a discussion with Guy Legere regarding making a 'nino reed. He asked me to send he some of my spent reeds, but I don't really go through them *that* quickly....

I currently use Alexander 'Classique' reeds on my 'ninos – ordered from WW&BW – and have found them to be fairly consistently good players.
Enjoy the 'nino life , and stay high!:D

Are some sopranino mpcs designed for soprano reeds? I just got a sopranino and some Vandoren sopranino reeds size 2. While the sax itself has some issues (as do I), it got a lot easier to play when I replaced the sopranino reed with a soprano reed (Rico #3). The soprano reed just seems to fit better, almost like the true sopranino reed is too narrow for the mouthpiece I have.
Edit: the sopranino mouthpiece seems quite closed especially compared to the other mpcs I use on other saxes, and maybe the #2 reeds just aren't a good match for that mouthpiece and my embouchure...?

Yes very true, I use Bb clarinet reeds on a Selmer S80 E mouthpiece, works much better than any sopranino reed I tried.
NB I was put on to this by Ed Pillinger.
