I found this thread with some older history http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?t=3811&highlight=Kenosha

I was curious about what is going on there now.
I ordered a contra bass clarinet in January and I'm still waiting.

Does anybody have any pictures of inside the factory ?
You would think they would have a few actual woodwind players working there and that maybe one or two of them were SOTW members.

I have been invited out to tour the factory. The factory in INDIANA. I will be there on Aug 20th. What model Contra did you order? Was it a 41?

I lived near there for quite some time, but I never toured or even saw the factory. Kim Slava over at Doctor Sax Woodwinds might know: http://www.doctorsax.biz, he's a huge Vito guy. Otherwise, the info in the thread you linked to is the only info I know. I have played some of the older Kenosha saxes, and they were great horns.

LeBlanc put out a magazine which regularly had pictures from inside the factory, but the word I get is that it is long since gone.

Hey Simon
I would appreciate it if you asked about the contra bass. I'm looking at the cheapest new one which is the L7182 model.
