Have gotten the first (small) batch of blanks ready for the final phases in the milling processes involved.
Have not got many blanks ready as we want to check out the response to these pieces before we put an arm and leg into the production of them. They are expensive to make and we are using the best Belgian bell metal that we can get in their manufacture.
We are going to use the best gold plating that is available for them and I do intend to number the first ones so that we can keep up with the batches and see how everything works for the players. I will reserve the right to keep #1 though!
There will not be a built in tooth saver but rather a thin clear saver and a thicker black saver will be included with each piece so that the player can make his or her own selection.
I will be using the better Selmer ligatures on them as I think this is what is needed but of course the player can put anything he wants on them.
Wish us luck for a fine piece.
Regards,
Charlie A.
