I was offered this horn at a fair price. Can anyone tell me about it?

They are a later model concoction from Conn. Not exactly sure on the production dates, but they were generally marketed as a student horn.
In the early production run of these saxes they had a model called the directors model which supposedly plays better then the later models. Also this sax was introduced right around when Conn started fading out in the "pro horn" group and started focusing on students.
They are decent horns, I personally didn't like the one I played though. So yeah, just like any horn try it out.

If this is the general concensis, then I won't even waste my gas to go see it. I orginially thought that it was a Director model, but I don't want to risk passing up a good horn at that price.

Just a basic horn from the 60s era.
