new yamaha plastic case problem - wont close properly

i recently got a new yamaha 'bubble case' with my new sax and it has a major closing problem. the lid has flat fluff and goes flush against the saxophone and the case takes about half n hour to close. it might of been becaus it was kept out of the case at the shop and the top fluff has gone flat and no longer moulds the sax makin it not close properly. is this normal? should i clamp it in the case and leave it for a while to re - mould or shoul di just take it back to the shop?? thanks,

Take it back pronto. You bought the case as well as the sax, and it should function properly. One of the major functions of a case is closing. :)
