Anyone ever try these? I know Links are tried and true for tenor but not sure about other horns. Had a metal Link for alto that was like blowing into a drainage pipe.

How are they for baris?? Would appreciate any feedback as I'm thinking of ordering from WWBW. Tip opening suggestions would also be appreciated.

They are great mpcs but lack punch and power when put on a Bari, try a lamberson 8DD for the thunderous Bari sound. Lawtons, Quantums and RPC's are other good choises for a Bari.

Or, you can get one of the Florida Links for Bari. I have played the 5* and 6* stock and they are great. Am now playing a Florida 6* opened up by Theo to .115 and it is a screamer!! Big fat dark sound with lots of projection. Altissimo is a dream to triple C

Years ago I played a school Bari with a 9* Link and it was amazing. I wish I could find it today. I play a 7* that I had openned up a bit and it is still a little too nice for me.
I just ordered a 9 and will see how it does. None of the Large Baffle pieces work for me. I play pretty bright all on my own.
OF course the Tenor piece was the standard, but the Bari ran a close second for me.

Saxboy,I am looking at a bari piece Link *7.Right now I am on a Rousseau JDX 5,it's good,but I would like a different piece with a little more edge,without brightening the sound! I play a bari low A Super Action . In fact I have two Rousseau JDX,one is brand new!I will sell it If I find a buyer! You think that It is still too close a 7 *? Maybe I should wait before getting the 7* and try a for higher openning.I remembered trying some 4 years ago,they were nice but without the * models!

i plaY an 8* on the crappy school bari and it sounds like an selmer serie 2 bari now lol i love the projection and tone qualtiy from the links
