Zonda...Glotin...

Are Zonda, Glotin, Riggotti, or Gonzales associated with each other? I thought at least two of those companies were the same, but I can't remember.
What has been your experience with each on alto and which is generally ranked highest?

I used to play Zonda on alto, but now play Vandoren. On tenor they are my favorite. They are warm sounding and have a slightly spead sound on alto. The others I have not tried on alto.

It is my understanding that Zonda and Gonzales reeds are affiliated in some way. I don't think they have anything to do with Glotin or Riggotti. Zonda & Gonzales reeds are from South America (I think Argentina) and Glotin is French and Riggotti is probably Italian. At different times I have had great success with each of these brands of reeds. Currently I am using Gonzales and Zonda reeds on clarinet. Gonzales reeds are wonderful on bass clarinet, and I have also played some tenor sax Gonzales reeds.
