Hi,

I know I have to figure it out myself but I must admit that it is incredibly difficult for me to find out the notes from a tune. My ear isn't that good and my playing...........sssssht.
Does anyone has the notes of the theme of "Long Tall Dexter" lying around and is willing to post/mail it? I only need the theme not a fully transcibed solo.
Thanks .............. and of course I'm open to any suggestions which help me transcribing a piece by ear.

I'm just sitting in my office w/o a horn to verify this, but it goes something like this (on tenor):

|DF#F#DF#|DF#A|DFF#F#DBD|
|DFFDF|DFA|DFF#FF#DBD|
|DF#F#DF#|DA|
|DEFGAAG|F#AFA|D

Measure lines are approximate. Changes are 12 bar blues in D (concert C)

Paul,

I checked the sheet music when I got home, and LTD is actually in Bb, so take everything down 1 whole step.
