Hi all,

This is probably an unusual request but here's what I'm looking for.

Is there a resource for looking up music terms and symbols on the internet?
If not, is there a book or other reference?

Something that gives definitions of #, b, staccato, marcato, x, allegro and all the other symbols and phrases you see in printed music?

Every once in a while I run across something that I just can't remember what it means.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Try HERE (http://www.music.vt.edu/musicdictionary/). I think this is what you are looking for.

Wow that's a comprehensive glossary, I shall bookmark it just in case! Today I've learned what a friction idiophone is :)
