Otto Link NY Lig

8-) This is some info for those people, like myself, who have a strong dislike for the lig that comes with the Otto Link NY mouthpiece. I tried a Semer 404. There was some improvement but not enough. For the last 2 days I have been playing with a Rovner lig that is intended for this mouthpiece. Big, Big, BIG improvement. I thought it might make the sound too dark but was wrong. It adds just a slight amount of brightness, with better responce. For those who might be interested in this lig, it is a Rovener [Dark-3ML-NY]. I have no connection with the company.8-)

Do you have the screw on the top or bottom near the reed?

8-) The screw is on the top. There is a small piece of leather under the screw on each side that protects the mouthpiece from being mared by the screw. Excellant forthought on Rovner's part.8-)

The FL lig works great on Links. I think more of a solid core tone than a rovner.

I like the Selmer 404 lig on my link. But it broke awhile ago, and haven't been able to find a replacement. Now I use the one that came with it. Still sounds good.
