Tarzenonsax: No one knows. You should experiment with various openings and designs. If you prefer open pieces, then try a few open sop pieces. But I've found there is no relationship among the various pieces I use on sop, alto, and clarinet other than that I prefer open pieces. And there is much more to a mouthpiece than just the tip opening.
You can either go a retail store that has a selection of sop pieces and try them - OR order a few from the well-known catalog operations. The more popular sop pieces are Selmer, Link, JodyJazz, Meyer, Morgan, Bari, and Lawton, to name a few. I prefer Selmers but that's just me. DAVE

I'd say start trying around .062-.067". You will have plenty of wind to go larger, but may find the intonation difficult to control. Also try different designs of mouthpieces. Sops are pickier than othes saxes and need to be matched up a mouthpiece that works well with them. Dont just go for tone. Tone is no good unless you can control the beast.

For me, unlike alto I can usually playa relatively more open piece eg .70 is not a problem on soprano, but as far as alto goes .85 is pretty open for me. But as others have said, try as many and start in a reasonable range like what MojoBari has suggested. I play a Yanagisawa metal #6 (i think its just under .60), which is becoming to closed for me.

A good and inexpensive mouthpiece to start out with is the BARI Esprit. It's hand-finished to .058 (according to BARI), and plays surprisingly well. You can order one directly from www.bari-assoc.com for less than $10. Or you can order the "kit" (includes lig and cap) from www.daybreakenterprises.com for around $10. It's a great little mpc for very little money.
