i am currently playing tenor, a yamaha 62 with a runyon quantum 11,
with a sop rovner lig, it fits!
i find the sound, with hemke 3s, a bit edgy, it feels like it could squeak at any moment, hard to describe,
i would like i nicer smoother soul jazz ish sound without getting a new mouthpiece, so i thought id look into reeds,
any suggestions?
thanks,
Dan

hey SS,
Try Rico Jazz Select 3s or 3m, nice buzz nice pop i use em on a Guardala studio and I just tried vandoren ZZs 3's on my Barone Fusion and they really brought that piece to life. Either is flexible with a nice response or pop

how about glotin grooves?
i heard a lot of talk about these, is it all hype?
and has anyone got any experience with quantums themselves?

glotin has stopped making single reeds. so i wouldn't try them, because you might like them, and that would be awful.
