Anybody try any good reeds for it. I'm currently using a Vandoren ZZ and it sounds a little weird. V16's work a little better, but I'm still looking for the best reeds for the job. Any Ideas on good reeds for this piece?

Hi,
I use heemke 2 1/2 in custom belite 7 and work very well.
Rico Select Jazz and Vandoren Java work well too.

Eric Marienthal uses a Vandoren blue box 2.5 and sounds freakin sweet.

maybe I'm missing it, but you don't state if this is for a soprano, alto tenor or baritone and what opening you're referring to. I use a beechler metal (8, I think) on my tenor with LaVoz reeds (MS, I think) and it's great.
