i am soon gonna buy a project sax, can i have a few opinions on which of these would be a better project and a better finished sax, as in, overall, when it's finished, which would be the better sax if it was in mint condition?

As far as usability, alto beats out a C melody any day. Especially if you decide to sell the finished product.

no, i mean not for usability, which sax will be BETTER, not more usable, looming at the make, say they were both altos, which one would be better, an early hawkes & son, or a hawkes & son XX Century?

But they are NOT both altos. I'm sure others will chime in with comments. Be patient.

Did read the included link in the auction?

http://www.shwoodwind.co.uk/Reviews/Saxes/Tenor/XX_century_tenor.htm

Obviously they're comparing a tenor version but the history included seems legit.

out of all these, which one do you lot think will sound and play best after an overhaul, which is most valuable, which is more historically interesting, so, which one should i buy?
