Currently have an Evette & Schaeffer tenor sax, serial number 34708. Horn has a flower design on the support between the body and bell and has Italy stamped on the upper side of the body. Thought the old horns were made in France and newer ones in China. Any ideas what I've got and its age?

Well I didn't know they stencilled Italian horns. I would think it is probably a '60's or '70's student horn, which is the period when low budget horns came from Italy or or the former Eastern Bloc, before the Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese got in on the act. Are the bow and bell tone holes all on the right hand side? If they are, I think the age is as I suggested, if some are on the left, maybe it's older still.
