After reading advices from the saxontheweb community, I've decided to purchase Dukoff D8 soprano mouthpiece and the rovner ligature(haven;t decided which type to go for).
However due to lack of opportunities availble here in south Korea, I can't test them before order them online.

if you own Dukoff D8 + rovner ligature(please state which type) can you post sound clips(i.e longtone scale, music etc) or provide me with a link where I can hear it? I understand that kenny g uses one but I don't trust his sax. sound from CDs 'cause he uses sound engineers to modify his soprano sax. sound.

thanks in advance for reading this thread.

p.s
btw, if you also own otto link or yanagisawa soprano mouthpieces, can you also post sound clip for them as well please? cheers

Same equipment doesn't mean you'll sound the same, Still going to sound like yourself...

By the way...I remember few months ago when I heard Kenny G play with an orchestra live that when he turned the microphone off...he still sounded the same...I don't think sound engineers jacked up his horn either...

I don't know if they mess with G's sound on recordings but I saw him live and he sounds great, much better IMO than on his recordings. I've never been a huge fan of his soprano sound but live it was good. He came into the audience and played tenor and he WAILED. There are certainly better players but he does what he does good. Sorry if I went off topic. ;)

last time I was shopping for Rovner ligatures, I noticed that the Dark and the Light are the only two that come in a soprano size. I suppose the light would be a bit brighter than the dark.
