Hi, I'm 23 years old, have very little formal training under my belt, and have been playing for 6 years. I put up these sounds clips of me noodling on my 1949 Buescher Aristocrat in lacquer with a Brilhart Ebolin mpc., and Rico Royal 3 reeds.
Please tell me what you think.

I know I can't really play much but give me constructive advice, thanks.

I like your alto sound. Fat and dark. And I really like the hiss in the recording when you play. It sounds like a radio broadcast from the 40s or 30s. I would guess that a next step is to memorize a melody and then improvise off of the changes. Something simple to start with in a style that you like. K

I play tenor. Personally I think those samples suck, they are out of tune and I'm just doing some mindless noodling.

I think the fact that your initial post was up for several days w/o a response shows that it's really hard to give a lot of feedback based on the sound files you put up. You've got the basics of producing a sound and moving around the horn, and that's a good start.
I agree with Kieth's advice. You need to move on to learing some songs, and I see you've posted elsewhere inqurirng about the Real Book so that's a step in the right direction.
