I had a Unison S300 configured the way you describe, although I believe the bell and bow were silver-plated, not solid, or sterling.

Took it to the repair guy today. It had some transit damage. He thought it was plated I'll get a second opinion. I'll take it to a Jeweler for the final ans.:|

Cash, unless it was a "one-off" kinda thing, I am fairly sure it is only plated.

Easiest way to find out is. take something sharp and see if it scratches off:twisted:

Randall, I'm still wondering if it WAS a one-off... This horn has lots of finger wear patterns on the keys ..NO scratches or dents (somebody took care of it too)..Whoever it was played the HELL out this horn..
Next week will tell, I will research it further. Seems LA would have made some special horns for their endorsers. Can't imagine Richard Elliot playing a stock out of the box job..
