I play Marching Baritone (my band director asked me to switch to increase low brass #'s) in marching band. However i have a solo on my Tenor Sax in the second movement of the show. I find it hard to make the transition between a brass instrument to a woodwind and i don't want that to decrease the quality of the solo (Jazzy, Cadenza). What could i do to improve from this perspective (Stamina,Embouchure, intonation, outside aspects, etc or any others) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Just keep it up. I played sax in marching band from 8-11th grade, then played mellophone in 12th. I still played bari in jazz band. that was over 20 years ago, & I've lost all my brass chops, but I still play trumpet from time to time. Just work on going back & forth. Other than your mouth & lips getting a workout, I think you'll sound fine.

I double on trombone and tenor sax. I find no conflict between brass and reed.No need to back off on the baritone horn practice to prepare for your sax solo. I suggest that you continue to practice on both.

Same as any other doubles - not only practice to achieve proficiency on both (all) instruments but add to your practice by incorporating the switch between instruments. If you only practice one instrument per practice time, it's easy to see why a transition feels awkward - it's because it's a new element in your routine.
