I got to check out the new Jupiter 993GL Bari @ the TMEA convention this past weekend, and was blown away by how great that horn played. I liked it better than the Jupiter 893. It played better than most of the baris @ the convention. It kinda reminded me of a Yanigasawa bari, floorpeg socket and all.
Has anybody else had the chance to check out one of these horns? I'd be interested in comparing notes just to make sure I wasn't dreaming that horn played that well.

I'm playing on a 993 now, and yes, it's an excellent horn. I didn't think there was a bari that would convince me to sell my Artist model; nevertheless, it's up for grabs!

Finnish music instrument store sells JPS-933GL for 2950.00 euros (http://www.soitinlaine.fi/index.cfm?act=tuotteet&pid=9692&mgid=2&sgid=40) (4001.10 $). I'm guessing that's rather competitive price?
