Playing is so therapeutic

Whether I'm stressed out, pissed off, depressed, or happy... playing the saxophone is the one thing that I can do that makes me feel good. It clears my head and it allows me to express myself even if the only audience is myself. No matter what emotion that I am feeling, it seems there is something I can play that will help or enhance it. Sometimes it is just scales and intervals, some days it's just some stuff out of the omnibook, some days it's some old solos I used to be able to play...

Just wanted to say that this is really dawned on me today, a very stressful weekend with work, family, and more family, and more work, and insanity... close the door and play, and I'm in a different world.

LOL! Well I guess one of ya'll would have to slip me a new reed once in a while! (Also might need a little food and water but I think they provide that.)
Depending upon how you play, they may only provide you with a cell-mate.

Gary, DogPants and I have a Prison Trio planned for the Isle of Malta.
