Hi, I have a horn here that has proven very difficult to id. It has an octagonal gold wash bell and is in decent shape. You can find a set of photos of it on my flickr site, www.flickr.com/photos/Splendidenvy look through my sets for the 8 petalled vintage trumpet. I think it is a Smrcka, almost sure it comes from Graslitz, dating at least late 1930's or earlier judging from the valves and construction. No engraving except numbers on the valve casings and a very faded stamp that looks like it might read something that starts with an S and ends with an A. Easy to play, refurbished by our tech but even he, and he's been at it since WW11, hasn't seen one like this. I would appreciate any ideas or leads with regard to the horn's identity. Thanks.
