Can anyone suggest a book with some interesting and jazzy warm up routines for Tenor Sax?

Hi Martin

"Practice Like The Pros" by Sue Terry - book and CD (Amsco Publications).

20 different players give you their favourite warm-up/practice exercise. This is a lot of fun

Plus- try to play the ~VERSE~to "Stardust"...as a warm up.
Or -the bridge to " Body & Soul".

That will get everything warmed up.Then open Sues book.
Sues book is rockin'...just like her.A fantastic book.

I use bebop tunes. My favorites: Donna Lee, Four Brothers, Good Bait, and Groovin' High.

Sure. Play a continuous circle of fourth arpeggios and the flatted 7th, with 2 linking notes in between. For example: C E G Bb A G F. F is the root of your next scale. Then play your Eb scale(if your a tenor like me): F A C Eb D C Bb. You can quickly go thru every key. So your first two keys would look like this: C(root) E G Bb A G F(next root) A C Eb D C Bb... and so on. It sounds pretty cool if you can play it fast, like 240=quarter note while playing eighth notes. 8)
