Hi all,
I know there is a similar thread on the alto.
I have an tenor EX90 which I bought around 2000, it should be still a made in Germany one. When I bought it I compared it to several other horns including also Selmer. I really love the sound of it, no comparison to the other makes.
Now, I handed it in for a check up and the technician told me he could offer me an early (used) SX90 which, he says, is much better (he said that even the new SX are not made in Germany, is this true?). I know also that he is a good seller... I didn't play the horn yet and I dont' know how much he asks for it. He told me the SX90 is not in the same good conditions like my EX90 (but pads are new).
From your experience would you says there is a big difference in this two saxes, is it worth to change? Keeping in mind that sometime in the future I would like to get one of those great vintage tenor.
thanks and happy new year
