Hi! Does anyone has any idea on the current price of a vintage Amati Toneking produced around 195x? It is identical to Toneking series II (pro model made by JK before acquisition by Amati) except the micro-tuner neck.
Besides, does anyone try the Tonekings before and after acquisition of JK by Amati? Are there any differences?
Thanks! :)

I own a nickel plate alto with the original pads. I have seen then on ebay in fair condition going for around $275-$350.00 once in awhile, and in need of an overhaul.
The keywork on mine bends a little when stressed. The neck is brittle an the end has flaked off about 1/8th an inch of metal. It does play fairly well with all its leaks and intonation in good up to the high d. After that it is sketchy. It needs a small chamber mouthpiece to play in tune, pushed all the way in. Like a Vandoren V16 5S. My meyer 6 small chamber will not play in tune on it.
My guess is that mine is identicial to the Keilwerth series II in the design. It probbably has a thinner walled neck that responds faster I am guessing. I want to try a Keilwerth series II neck and put in on to compare.
I really dying to try a Keilwerth Series I pre 20,000 tenor made in the Czech republic.
