I was wondering if anyone knows what this sax is worth, and about when it was made. I am considering buying one. It is in working condition. I would say about a 7 out of 10.

That model was made in 1924.Check whether it has top front F key as i cant remember when martin introduced them but i think it should have one.
Martin handcraft are fine saxophones if they are set up correctly with good intonation, value can be anything from $200 to $800 depending on condition and how much someone is prepared to pay. Have a look at completed sales on ebay.com to give you an idea of condition and how much they sell for

My first alto was a late Handcraft -- and it remains my main alto. The key work on the later Martins -- Handcraft Committee, Committee II, Committee -- is lighter, but the early horns still have a great sound -- sultry and richer than any other horn I've ever played or heard.
BTW perhaps it was added later, but I didn't think that Martin offered the front F until sometime in the 8x,xxx range.
