I just got one for free (alto), and I can't get it to play for the life of me. I've tried FibraCells, Rico Royal, Vandoren Javas, and none of them made it play very well. It's very weak, out of tune, and doesn't respond past top line G. It is also the most closed piece I've ever seen/played. There is barley any space between the tip of the reed and the mouthpiece.
Anyone else ever play one of these Martin mouthpiece with any success?
My main pieces are a Miami Dukoff, and a Selmer C**, but I want to test this piece, just to see what it's like, but like I said, I haven't been able to yet!
