I have a couple of metal mouthpieces that at least look like brass where the plating is missing.
One in particular turns green quickly if I don't wash it within a day or two. The other lasts a little longer and never gets as bad. Although I guess this is simply different proportions of certain metals in the make up.
1) Whats the general feeling, any health issues to play them as they are?
2) What would have to be done as a process to replate them (both were gold originally) mainly I am thinking about the tip and rails ?
3) How much would this affect the current sound they give (they retain about 50% original plating)?
Thanks in advance
