According to their web site, Kessler has the alto in stock and the tenor on order. Click on the Kessler banner at the top of the page.

Really? Silly question - if you think they are too high, then what are you comparing them to, and if you have a comparison why are you asking where you can buy one? Just a little confusing, that's all.

FWIW, I have found Kessler's prices to be very competetive on thier saxes. And keep in mind, they are already set up when you buy them; no getting a Selmer that won't play right and then having to pay extra for a repair guy to adjust it for you.

I purchased a Limited Hummingbird for $5495.00 last year, I saw
later (a couple of months) sold at other stores $5095.00.
I wish I wrote the music stores down and I did not.

Yes, Kessler has great selmer saxophones, I purchased two of
them, a ref 54 and the Hummingbird. $9195.00 plus tax

What I have a problem with is when I was looking for a
case, nobody wanted to give me the time of day.

I finally found a case locally.

I just hate that nobody here where I live sells pro saxophones,
just these students models.

You shouldn't have had to pay sales tax unless you live there, or were physically in the store, right?

What general area do you live in?

Donna, if you won't marry Gary could you at least take a bubble bath with him to improve his reputation? Thanks!:D

The store I work for has the kooky in the nice old gold Ref finish and all the extra unnescessary doodads for 661,000 yen.
The regular laq version of the kooky alto is about 100,000 yen less.

No tenors yet....

Must say that the more pricey one is really a stunningly beautiful horn.

I have never really liked the engraving on the hummer. I think it looks a bit amateurish.

LOL. Doggin' me on other threads, Joe? Nasty boy.
Anyway, good suggestion. Pat's looling a bit wrinkled these days.

ProWinds has several in stock. www.ProWinds.com

You will probably have to call them though, as it is not yet listed on their site. But, I know they have em, I have seen them!

Donna,

I am sorry to hear that no one got back to you on the case issue... I do not recall hearing anything about it.

As for the price on the Hummingbirds... I had seen WWBW drop them to $5095 after Selmer ran a 10% off special to clear out their stock. Your Hummingbird was the absolute first one I received... so unfortunately, we both paid full price.

I thought it was weird that you werent returning my e-mails about the Kookaburra limited models.
