Hi,
I've had a Pierret tenor for few years and would like to know some more about it. Hopefully someone can help. I have noticed there are more questions than answers about Pierret's but... you never know.
The horn has it's original case and guarantee certificate with it. According to the certificate the manufacturer is:
S. A. Pierret - Paris
B.P. 36
94 - Saint-Maur - France
Certificate has been dated:
1/6 1971
It has lacquer finish, engravings quite simple just saying "Pierret Paris" and "Made in France".
Serial number is 052***
I don't have very much experience about different manufacturers as this was my first horn. Compared to my friend's Selmer it is light-weighted and... feels cheap. Propably a student model. :?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks also to Harri Rautiainen for excellent saxophone site! Lot's of good information available for sax newbies like me! Kiitos. :)
