Has anyone seen one of these? I would like to know how they are marked.

Keith, I had several Bergs done by Frank Wells (an early mentor of mine) in the late '50's and early '60's. I've since seen several owned by Bennie Wallace, both Link STM's and HR Bergs, "done" by both Frank and Mike Blanchard. None have had identifying "hallmarks" of any sort on them. The only Wells-marked mpcs I've seen were ones he completely finished from "blanks" and sold under his own "brand name".

Mojo, if you haven't seen it take a look at this thread:

Doesn't address your specific question of Links but has Mike's contact info if you want to talk to him.

Thanks. A client sent me a Link STM that has a bent open tip and some excellent facing and finishing work. It has some tip opening numbers in mm*100 and a facing length in mm*2. It has "B" and "BM" before some of the numbers. The original size was ground off and these figures scratched near the heel. Looks like 2 different cats scratched it.

Mike has done work on several of my pieces: HR Berg's for soprano and tenor and a HR Link for tenor. I like his work also.
